AI-driven turbulence prediction
ANA deployed new AI-based turbulence prediction system across its fleet, in collaboration with BlueWX, utilizing latest AI and deep learning techniques for weather forecasting, following ANA trials since 2021 with pilots citing accuracy in real-world operations.
Autonomous wheelchair
Conventional powered wheelchair equipped to provide perception via cameras and lidar sensors, as well as navigation and steering capabilities; wheelchair designed to respond and operate autonomously to user commands via smartphone app.
B777-9 customers
With one exception ANA, all B777-9 customers also A350 operators; larger B777-9 intended for use as flagship including intro of new premium cabin; while B777X derivative not clean sheet, model re-engined with new wing, longer fuselage, updated cockpit, upgraded interior.
Engine installs 2025 H1
Installs of narrowbody 984 engines +14.6% YoY and widebody 208 engines +44.4% YoY, with total 30,052 engines on-order including 25,105 narrowbody engines and 4,948 widebody engines.

Most eVTOLs with redundant propulsion system to keep flying after one or more motor failures, subject to continuing available battery energy.
Airbus BelugaXL and Boeing LCF Dreamlifter
BelugaXL based on A330-200F and Dreamlifter developed from B747-400; BelugaXL powered by Trent 700, dims L 63.1m H 18.9m wingspan 60.3m with cargo capacity 2,290 cm and payload 51 mt; Dreamlifter powered by PW4000, dims L 71.7m H 21.5m wingspan 64.4m with cargo capacity 1,840 cm and payload 113 mt.

Original A330-300 MTOW 212 mt with range 7,200 km raised with A330-900 from current 251 to 253 mt in 2028 with range from 13,500 to 13,800 km.

IATA WATS reports top 2024 cargo airlines by CTK billions: FedEx 18.1, Qatar 15.2, UPS 15.1, Emirates 12.4, Atlas 11.9, Turkish 10.2, Korean 8.7, China Southern 8.7, Cathay 8.5, Cargolux 8.3.
Freighter capacity constraints
Air cargo market future capacity constrainted as production freighters and aircraft feedstock for conversions scarce; with no more B747s produced and B772F production ending 2027, new large widebody future all about A350F B777-8F.

Aircraft air conditioning
Turbofan aircraft utilize bleed air from engines as primary source of air conditioning; turboprop aircraft utilize atomospheric air cooled through refrigerant cycles; standard configuration in turbofan aircraft and also newer turboprops circulates about 50% fresh and other 50% re-circulated through HEPA filters.
ASA wet lease
Building on Ethiopia - Russia Air Services Agreement of 2024 with MRO in ADD, both countries discussing expansion utilizing aircraft wet lease agreements.
